Save the Children

Net2Net provided network and security support services for Save the Children in Washington, DC.

Save the Children is the leading independent organization creating real and lasting change for children in need in the United States and around the world. It is a member of the International Save the Children Alliance, comprising 27 national Save the Children organizations working in more than 100 countries to ensure the well-being of children.

The goal of this project was to provide Save the Children with a more secure infrastructure with the installation and configuration of various security devices. Net2Net provided the installation and configuration of VPN concentrators, Firewalls and the redesign of the Washington, DC location network infrastructure.

The major activities of the project were the following:

• Network Architecture Re-design;
• Network Hardware Installation;
• Network Engineering Configuration Expert Services;
• Testing and Monitoring;
• Firewall and VPN Rules and Adjustment Expert Services;
• Net2Net Knowledge Transfer Services.

The objectives were met by performing the following tasks:

• Network and Security Hardware Configurations
• Documentation
• Training and Knowledge Transfer

Net2Net provided on-going consulting services above and beyond the original scope of work. This was done in order to not only maintain the newly designed environment but also to thoroughly ensure that the full effectiveness was maintained through proper knowledge transfer.
